District Roadside is proud to be part of the Slow Down Move Over Initiative. Unfortunately, nearly every two weeks roadside workers and first responders lose their life while on the side of a road doing their job. We count on you to help keep our first responders safe.
Tips on how to help:
- Always pay attention. Distracted driving is the lead cause of injuries and deaths.
- Be alert to flashing lights. When you see an emergency vehicle on the side, slow down and move over to ensure enough space for everyone to remain safe.
- It is recommended to slow down between 10-20 MPH when approaching flashing lights on the side of the road
